Governor Dunleavy ordered flags to be flown at half-staff September 18th, in honor of Judy Salo, in accordance with the family’s wishes.

Former Senator Judy Salo served in the Alaska House and Senate from 1989 to 1996 representing the Kenai Peninsula. She was a career public educator and worked in public schools in both Nome and Kenai and was President of the National Education Association-Alaska.
