This is to advise that Governor Wes Moore ordered the Maryland Flag lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset, Friday, February 20, 2026, for Civil Rights Heroes Day.

This day recognizes the courage, sacrifice, and relentless efforts of civil rights and abolition leaders throughout history and reaffirms our commitment to be a land of opportunity, hope, and justice for every citizen.
